Do what you love. Love what you do.

Hey lovebugs!
I want to ask you a question. What are you passionate about? What sets your soul on fire? What is your why?
If you know the answer to those three questions, you are at a great place in life. Sadly, a lot of people never find their passion. So they just work and work and work with no purpose. Just trying to make it to the next paycheck. I was once like that. I didn't know exactly what I wanted out of life, so I settled for whatever came my way. I had mouths to feed, bills to pay, and clothes to buy. I had responsibilities. I had to come to terms with adulting. Which sucked!!!!
It wasn't until after my divorce that I started to discover my passion. I was now a single mom to one 2 year old and two 1 year olds. (Yeah, you read that right) I was broke. No car. No job. No house. I decided to move back in with my mom and go to cosmetology school. I thought it would be easy since I had been doing hair since the 6th grade. It took me 14 months to graduate instead of 10, but I did it. I felt accomplished. That was the first thing that I had completed BY MYSELF. I bounced around a few shops until I landed at SHE The Salon in 2015. I loved it then and still love it now.
I wanted an environment where I could learn and grow both as a business woman and a stylist. I wanted a place where my clients felt at ease. I wanted a place that they would be happy to come to. I prayed for those things, and I found them.
Once I started there, I realized that my passion isn't doing hair or makeup. My passion is simply making women feel beautiful. Don't get me wrong, I love a good SLAY DAY but the part that I love, the part that speaks to me is the life that I give people. LITERALLY. I have had clients come in with red eyes from crying, and leave feeling like they can handle whatever that problem was. I've had women tell me their insecurities and dislikes about themselves, and I have been able to show them the beauty in every flaw. THAT IS WHAT I LOVE. And that is the foundation of BIND- Beauty Is Never Dull. Being beautiful starts with believing that you are. I've been blessed to help women see that, and I'll never take that for granted.
That is what drives me. That is what allows me to DREAM BIGGER. That is what motivates me to build BIND. So I challenge each and every one of you to do the same. FIND YOUR PASSION, then pursue it.
Be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire. You got this. Go get em girl!
XoXo,
Yannie
